Elk Scronty was a paganot that was born with an abnormally twitching right eye that he covers with an eyepatch. The eye was said to induce fear against his opponents when revealed.
After he sees a vision of being killed by a commoner, he accuses them of treason and orders them to fight to death or face execution. Hadik, who is among the accused survives the trial and asks to fight him in single combat.
Hagyll, worried that she'll be forced to assist Elk urges Hadik to decline. Insulted, he mercilessly strikes her and accepts instead.
After Hadik injures him, he swallows his pride and orders Hagyll to play a tune, making his movements faster than he can anticipate and forces him to rely on prediction and sustain minor injuries in order to avoid a fatal blow.
Before he can kill him, Hagyll tells asks Elk if he going to carry out the threat he swore earlier. Reprimanding her, he tells her he will which leads to her betrayal.
Helping Hadik instead, Elk orders his men to kill her. The act is stopped by Slorstik who kills his men to protect her.
After barely avoiding the spear that was about to be thrust into him, he grabs the head of the the spear and pierces his throat, killing him.
